SewUpSeattle won third place in the "Community Novelty"category! How about that?
Our friend Ken lent us his truck, and Clare drove. (That's Clare in her crocheted coat, made from a coat kit cut into long strips.) Two people sat in the back of the truck sewing squares of fabric together on a beautiful old Singer hand-crank machine. A whole bunch of volunteers handed out clothespins and the rest of the Coat Kits. Altogether we had 18 people in our group, and many more who contributed behind the scenes. The Ironing It Out Board thanks them all. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
