November 27 - Stitching and Swapping

There was a small but enthusiastic group sewing gift bags and swapping fabric on November 27. We hope the rest of you were home enjoying the Thanksgiving weekend.

Please note that there will be no Sew Up Seattle sewing class in December. We will kick off the new year (although it will be almost February by then) with small zippered pouches. These are fun and versatile little bags- you could even fill them with hugs and kisses for Valentines Day.

Class ideas for the new year include UFOs (Unfinished Objects), Made-over Clothing, New Things from Old Things, and more. Don't be put off if you think the project of the month is too advanced; we are always prepared for beginners to sew a simple bag or pillow. There will be regular fabric swaps as well. Something for everyone!

Sew Up Seattle will take part in a number of community and "green" events in 2009. Check back here for details as we confirm our plans. We hope to see you and your friends one of these Last Saturdays, at Goods for the Planet.

Keep sewing.Keep recycling. Keep adventuring.
