Scrap-happy sunshades...

We met on the hot, sunny last Saturday of June and sewed sun visors just in time for a few more unusually hot, sunny Seattle days. There were two styles to choose from: one with a velcro closing and another with a long band that can be tied in a variety of ways. The brims were stiffened with salvaged buckram scraps or pieces of discarded plastic notebook covers...a little more "useless" stuff given a new purpose.
