We're back!
SewUpSeattle is very happy to announce that we will resume our sewing sessions in March 2012. We looked at a few locations and have settled on a venue at the Denny Place Center, just a stone's throw from our old home at Goods for the Planet. So no need even to learn a new bus route!
Join us on Saturday, March 24 for the ever popular and useful Bags. If you sewn bags with us before you can make another one (who can't use another bag?) or make one to donate to a shelter (we will have info for you). And there will be at least one new design if you prefer to try something totally different.
A couple of other important change -- we will be meeting on the 4th Saturday of the month in 2012 (not the last Saturday). In most months this won't make any difference, but later in the year it will make working around the holidays a little easier. Also, there will be only one session per Saturday, at least for now, from 11AM to 1PM. So it's more important than ever to RSVP early, as classes often fill quickly.
The Denny Place Center is adjacent to Denny Park Lutheran Church, which is at the corner of Dexter Avenue and John Street. We'll post a map and a picture here soon, so you'll know which entrance to look for.
